How do I remove a file from a project?

If you want to remove a file from project, click on the concerned project.

Select the document you want to remove and click on "delete" at the bottom-right corner:

Users' status and permissions

There are 4 different users' status in SmartUse: owner, administrator, contributor and reviewer. The following table presents their different permissions.

You need a paying account to be owner, administrator or contributor. You do not need a paying account to be a reviewer.

When you have a paying account, you can share your project with as many reviewers as you want for free.

How do I create a folder in my project?

How do I share my project with others?

You can share your project with other users. Click on the project you want to share or create a new one.

Click on "users" (right side of the screen):



1. Click on "+ Add User"
2. Enter the email address of the user you want to share your project with
3. Select the permission you want to give him/her
4. Click on "Add"

How do I add documents to my project?

Click on your project or create a new one.



At the bottom-right corner, click on "Add document". On your computer, select the PDF file on want to upload. The document will be processed and thumbnail will appear when that will be completed.



 You can upload as many documents as you want at the same time. You can leave the screen or work on something else while they are processing.

How do I integrate my Box project into SmartUse?

After log in to the app, click on "Add project":



Enter your project name, then select "Box" for the storage source:


When you select "Box", you will see the following reminder appearing, we will take care of this later.



Log in to your Box account on www.box.com and click the "share" button on your project's folder. Select "Share" in the menu, then click on "Get link" (click on the picture below to view it bigger):



Copy the link in the popup windows:



Paste it in SmartUse's form in the "shared url" section:


If you set up a password for this Box folder, do not forget to indicate it below. In the future, if you happen to change this password on your Box account, you will have to change it in SmartUse too.

Go back to your folder on www.box.com. At the right, invite "box@smartuse.com" to join this project.


Your project is now created. Your files are automatically synchronized when you update your Box folder. You can not add or delete documents directly within SmartUse.
